Business Plan Coaching Services   business%20plan.jpg

Some believe it’s necessary to write a business plan only when seeking cash from a bank or other investor.  While anyone risking money on your business will certainly want to see a business plan, you have the greatest stake in your business, and there are two important reasons for you to have a business plan:

1. Goal setting The old saying, “if you don’t know where you’re going, you certainly won’t get there,” is especially important for entrepreneurs to keep in mind.  If you don’t set clear and measurable goals, you won’t know whether you’re achieving the steps needed to build and sustain your business.  Not all goals are financial in nature.  If having a particular work schedule is an important goal for you, writing it down will help keep you on track (though it’s not necessary for the investors to know about such personal goals unless they impact running the business).

2.  Focus Amid the flurry of daily activities required to keep your business afloat, it is all too easy to skip the planning step. Having a business plan helps you to choose those activities that support your goals and to turn down those activities that would distract you from attaining your goals.
